The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) Illustrated

Every other week I will try to explain and illustrate a new Rule in these pages.

For those who are discovering the RRS and these pages : take it easy … and slowly.  Don’t try too hard, understanding rules will take some time and effort.

Each illustration presented here will include: - a definition of the terms used (sometimes the official ISAF definition) - a general explanation - when available, a VSK challenge that illustrate the rule - the tactical aspect of the rule - how to use rules in racing - comments about how the rule is applied in VSK3
